Get Involved

AIGA San Francisco is run by a dedicated board of directors and by equally devoted committee members. These volunteers offer their time and energy to help run AIGA events and programs. Each board member directs their attention to one of AIGA's several initiatives on design.

AIGA SF has founded a Design Library at our offices on Sutter Street.

Education Outreach

Our chapter is committed to offering college level graphic design students a variety of opportunities to supplement their education. We also seek to mentor the next generation of designers by providing inspiration to our youth. Learn more »

Enrichment Scholarship

AIGA San Francisco offers graphic design students the opportunity to enter a scholarship competition.

Portfolio Day

Each year, AIGA San Francisco presents the largest Portfolio Day for students on the West Coast.

Bay Area Design Schools

The Bay Area is a great place to learn about graphic design, illustration and web design.

Student Groups

Several Bay Area colleges have active AIGA Student Groups.

Rick Tharp Design Scholarship

The Rick Tharp Design Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Rick Tharp, a world-class graphic designer whose work influenced the entire design industry.

Inneract Project

AIGA SF co-chair of Education, Maurice Woods, has brought the Inneract Project to San Francisco Bay Area public schools.

Studio 5

The Studio 5 Project has been updated and changed into the Inneract Project.

Environment

Environmental Leadership Award

Every other year, the committee presents the Environmental Leadership Award to a firm or client that best exemplifies the marriage of design and environmental considerations.
