Design Lecture Series: James Victore: SOLD OUT!
SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT. ABSOLUTELY NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The San Francisco chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, presents the 2011 Design Lecture Series. This year’s DLS will be comprised of four lectures, sponsored and held again at Adobe San Francisco.
One of the oldest and most important lecture series dedicated to the convergence of technology, art and design, this year’s series continues a tradition of bringing world-renowned professionals to one of the world’s great creative capitals.
This year’s lineup showcases different avenues in which creativity and design influence our culture with each speaker bringing a unique perspective to the conversation. The evening will begin with networking and will feature complimentary wine and refreshments. Come early and mingle with members of the design community. Tonight’s event will also feature a booksigning.
James Victore is a father, graphic designer, teacher, and rebel. As an independent designer in New York, he strives to make sexy, memorable design that causes excitement—sometimes even controversy. Victore’s clients include Moët & Chandon, Esquire, Amnesty International, the Shakespeare Project, The New York Times, MTV, Time, and Portfolio Center, among others. He has been awarded an Emmy for television animation, a Gold Medal from the Broadcast Designers Association, the Grand Prix from the Brno Biennale (Czech Republic), and Gold and Silver Medals from the New York Art Director’s Club. Victore’s posters are in the permanent collections of the MoMA, Palais du Louvre, the Library of Congress, and the Museum für Gestaltung, among others. He is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale and currently a professor at the School of Visual Arts.

To whom it may concern,
I’m the CCA Extension program manager, and am running a design class that would like to attend the James Victore lecture on March 10.
As extension students, they do not get student IDs, but are considered students by the college. I’m writing to ask if it would be possible to extend the non-member student rate to these 16 students?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Sincerely,
Justin Hunter

Wish I had known before. Keep me posted please.
Add another day or find another location. I wanted to see this lecture as did my students.
