Through Bløk, her design studio headquartered in Mexico City, Vanessa Eckstein brings a passion for dialog and engagement to an increasingly diverse array of projects. A space for ideas, Bløk is at once idealistic and intuitive. It is also international in character and scope, attracting talent from throughout Mexico and around the world to collaborate on initiatives that blend cultural awareness, a love of art and a fundamental humanity to advance society and business alike.

Vanessa’s identity, editorial and packaging projects include work for Nike, Pepsi, The Miami Art Museum, Museo Tamayo, Club Monaco, Roots, Jose Cuervo, Coleccion Jumex and UNICEF among others.

Having launched INTENTO 1, a critically acclaimed line of dishware created in collaboration with Canadian industrial designer Davide Tonizzo, Vanessa has recently turned her focus to two new initiatives: the launch of a children’s publishing house and a public awareness effort dedicated to social, political and environmental issues around the world.

The recipient of numerous international awards and honors such as the Clio, The Type Directors Club of Tokyo, The One Show, ID, Brno Biennale, Biennale of Graphic Design Russia, Trnava Poster Triennial (Slovakia), The Art Directors Club of New York, The Advertising & Design Club of Canada, and the Type Directors Club among many others.

Vanessa’s work is part of the permanent collection of the Royal Ontario Museum of Canada. She has served as vice-president of RGD Ontario.
