Mayor Newsom Issues Proclamation for Design Week
Mayor Gavin Newsom has once again proclaimed, June 15-21, 2009 as DESIGN MAKES A DIFFERENCE WEEK IN SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS, San Francisco is home to many of the nation’s most creative and innovative designers, and this design community represents a vital cultural force; and
WHEREAS, design has proven to be a strategic tool for the San Francisco business community—many organizations of which are on the forefront of design innovation; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Francisco, California recognizes this legacy of design excellence and the power of design to affect positive change and economic growth; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Gavin Newsom, Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco, do hereby proclaim June 15-21, 2009, as
DESIGN MAKES A DIFFERENCE WEEK IN SAN FRANCISCO
