Frog Design Supports Design Week

Global innovation firm frog design today announced it will support San Francisco Design Week (June 14-June 20). frog will provide exclusive online coverage of the week’s events on its design mind web site, including daily blog posts and Twitter updates, along with interviews with speakers and participants. Written and designed by frog’s employees as well as featuring contributions from guest writers and artists, design mind provides perspectives on industry trends, emerging technologies, and global consumer culture.

In addition, frog will host an open studio as part of Design Week’s “Studio Crawl” event. Participants will have a chance to get a peek into frog’s global headquarters in San Francisco, meet the designers, tour the space, and learn about recent projects. frog will also have its award-winning work featured in the San Francisco Design exhibit at AIGA San Francisco’s public gallery space. The eight-week multidisciplinary exhibit will display a range of exceptional design work in the Bay Area.

“frog has a long tradition of contributing to the design community in the Bay Area, and we are thrilled to continue our efforts by supporting San Francisco Design Week and its mission to raise public awareness of the impact of design,” said Doreen Lorenzo, President of frog design.

First started in 2006, San Francisco Design Week is organized by the local chapters of the design organizations AIGA, IDSA, IxDA, AIA, & SEGD, and is supported by Mayor Gavin Newsom and the City of San Francisco. Design Week is a way to reach out to a diverse community of over 20,000 Bay Area design professionals as well as local businesses, non-profits, entrepreneurs, students, the design-savvy public, tourists, and more.

“frog’s strong influence in the design community and the outstanding platform it has created with design mind make it an ideal partner to help further our efforts to promote the value of design to a diverse audience,” said Don Savoie, Executive Director of AIGA San Francisco.

frog has a 40-year history of innovation and design, working with leading companies across a variety of industries to create iconic products and services that transform businesses and improve people’s lives. With more than 500 employees and eight studios in Asia, Europe, and the US, frog works with Fortune 500 clients including Disney, GE, HP, Intel, and others.
